Postcode Wars
Privacy Policy & Support — last updated 17 October 2026
Postcode Wars is a game in which your suburb takes on every other suburb in Australia. You walk to real public places to collect resources that build your suburb up the ladder. This page explains what the app collects, why it needs it, and how to get help.
Information we collect
Your location, while the app is open. The app uses your location to find public places near you and to check that you are close enough to collect from them. Location is never used in the background. When you are signed in and you collect, set up a drill or teleport, our server receives where and when it happened, so that it can check the move was possible (for example, that nobody jumped across town in a second). These records are deleted after 45 days.
Your account, if you sign in. Playing does not need an account. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier for your account and the email address Apple provides (you can choose Apple's private relay address instead of your own). We do not receive your name. Your email is used only to run your sign-in; we never contact you with it, show it to other players or share it.
Your game. Your suburb, the alias the game gives you at random, your plots and what you have built on them, what you have collected, and your ladder points. Other players see your alias and your plot on the map. They never see your name, your email or where you are. If you join with a neighbour's invite code, we record that their code brought you in, so the reward can go to you both; they see only how many people have joined with it.
Purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only which item you bought and Apple's transaction number, so it can be added to your game. We never see your payment details.
What we don't do
The app has no advertising, no analytics services and no tracking across apps or websites, and it does not access your device's advertising identifier. We never sell your information or share it with anyone.
Where it is kept
Your progress is saved on your device. If you sign in, your account and game are also stored with our database provider, Supabase, so your suburb is shared with the other people playing in it and your game survives a new phone. Information is kept only as long as it is needed to run the game.
Deleting your information
In the app, go to Suburb → Settings → Delete my account. This deletes your account, alias, plots, stakes and history from our server and from your device. What you helped your suburb build stays built, but it is no longer linked to you. Start over erases only what is saved on your device, and deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.
Children's privacy
Postcode Wars is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed in, contact us and we will delete the account.
Playing safely
Only public places are used: parks, beaches, stations, landmarks and shopping strips. Never enter private property to reach a place, look up and watch for traffic near roads, and never play while driving — collecting pauses at driving speed.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
Support
Questions, bug reports, purchase problems and feedback are welcome at support@scipsolutions.com.au
We aim to reply within a few business days. When reporting a problem, telling us your device model, your iOS version and your suburb helps us find it quickly. Refunds for purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
